Left Handed Scholarships

14 March

Some of the most successful people in the world are left-handed including former President Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Babe Ruth and Jimi Hendrix. Even people before your time such as Marie Curie, Leonardo da Vinci, and Napoleon Bonaparte were all left-handed.

As unique as you are being left-handed, there are also very unique scholarships handed out to students who are dominant with their left hand. These left handed scholarships are revolved around the fact that having a dominant left hand makes you have a more active right brain hemisphere which promotes creativity and also the fact that left-handed people as a group have historically produced an above-average quota of high achievers. Left-handed brains are structured differently in a way that increases your range of abilities.

Colleges and Universities understand this and want more left-handers in their academia because they know the secret that being left handed allow you to process language, spatial relations and emotions in more diverse and potentially creative ways.

Being that less than 10% of the population is left-handed, these left handed scholarships are hard to come by. See the list below to find the scholarship that you would be most interested in. You can apply to one or as many as you qualify for.
